Can no longer send a signed email message

My certificate was working fine to sign emails yesterday. I don't encrypt, just sign.

Now I am unable to sign.  My certificate reports as valid.  (Outlook 2013 - Windows 8.1 Enterprise)

Found a number of entries for mismatched email addresses and for encrypted emails.  None of those suggestions apply as my email address is contained within my certificate despite the statement in the error message that a certificate matching my email address could not be found. 

Full error text:

Invalid Certificate

Microsoft Outlook cannot sign or encrypt this message because there are no certificates which can be used to send from the e-mail address 'xxxxxx @ yyyyy.zzz. Either get a new digital ID to use with this account, or use the Accounts button to send the message from an account that you have certificates for.

I need your help on Exchange server 2013. I want to receive mails from multiples mail id's from domain user, 

If I'm sending mail through acb@abc.com, abc2@abc.com, abc3@abc.com, abc4@abc.com.... I can receive only on info@abc.com

Please let me know the configuration on exchange server 2013.

Hi all,

I'm need help to understand the steps a mail goes through when an OOF rule is processed by the exchange as it seems to be acknowledging the incoming mails to have an automatic response but then dropping the response before it is sent.

I have a working exchange 2013 Std server. Mail works into and out of the organization. AutomaticReplies are enabled $True, AutoReply is enabled $True, AllowedOOFType is set to ExternalLegacy...however...when users enable their OOF automatic replies no response emails are being sent at all either internally nor externally.

Automated response rule processing by the exchange itself does seem to be triggered by the exchange but it is then dropping the mails and nothing gets sent. A message log track only ever shows two entries against a -Sender track on a mailbox when a user enables OOF. The EvendId on the process is only ever RECEIVE and there is never anything else like TRANSFER, SUBMIT or SEND.

We do however have 'dummy' mailboxes setup with outlook rules applied to them to send automated responses to people who email into a distribution list. This automated response rule processing on the mailbox side works 100%.

I've disabled the antivirus...why else would exchange not completely process or send an automatic reply message?

Hello guys,

we have been facing some issues for 3 days with Microsoft Exchange 2013 CU3,

As we have noticed after troubleshooting that Mail submission service is crashing (event 9036)

Service Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Transport Submission.  29 starts were made since the last clean stop. Startup will be delayed until 1/17/2014 11:26:35 AM.

For example at 11:26 email flow works normally for few minutes, then i get another event id 9036 with + 2 hours (so i should wait 2 more hours before mailflow works again)

What i mean by Mailflow is Outbound email (Inbound works normally) even if i send email to myself, i don't get it unless i reach this 2 hours time.

I am also having event ID (6535)

The description for Event ID 65535 from source Application cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

Backpressure activated after Exchange CU5 install-version buckets

Having many of these below:

Event ID 16028 A forced configuration update for Microsoft.Transport.TransportServerConfiguration has successfully completed.

Followed by this every few hours.

Event ID 15004 Resource Pressure Increased from Medium to High

Version buckets =219

Did not have this issue before CU5 update.  Updated from CU5

Am not using any third party transport scripts.

Not able to send out internet emails. Not able to receive emails yet!

Hello all

Little background.  my company is currently using 2 companies to host our emails.  bluehost has our domain and x7hosting has our emails.  It is a simple pop email service.  We want to change over to exchange so we purchased a server that will act as a file server and a exchange server.  About 1 month ago I set up exchange server and was able to sent out emails with no issues but was not able to receive emails due to x7hosting still holding on to our domain. flash forward to today we want to redirect our domain to our in house server with exchange.  OUT of the blue i am no longer able to send out emails. we have not yet redirected our domain to our server but we would like to do so ASAP.  currently our emails are staying in our drafts.

i have gone through multiple forums but cannot find any luck

currently using this server with 2 NIC cards one is for a file server

Hey Team,

I realize that enabling recipient validation on a mailbox server / CAS server (multirole) causes any invalid recipient to block the whole message and pretty much make recipient validation useless for exchange 2013 unless an edge server is used.

Here is my question:

We are using mcafee saas but for a few different reasons we are not able to get LDAP/S working correctly (original plan) so we are not able to use Mcafees recipient validation, the idea then was to use Exchange's recipient validation but of course there is the known issue of it not working correctly.

Can I just have Mcafee SaaS send all email traffic to port 2525 and bypass the "CAS Server's port 25" completely?

Dears,

I have an Exchange server 2013 Enterprise edition , I can sent to outside domain such as Yahoo, Gmail , But I couldn't revive from out side domain ? 

For that reason, We are  configured Office 365 to fix it , now is fixed after enable office 365 , 

BUT, Now I want to decommission  my Exchange sever 2013 on office 365, and keep only my Exchange 2013 and remove office 365,

 So, the first I need to mail flow working fine (Send & Receive mail with out any issue) , Then I will make decommission of Office 365

Relay not working for Website messages

Hello,

We just got done installing Exchange Server 2013. All is working well except for one problem. We have a website that users register for events. After registration the user is supposed to receive an email confirmation. That email is never sent/received IF the email address is external i.e yahoo.com. The message is received if I use an internal email address i.e.mydomain.com to register. I have created a FrontendTransport receive connector and added the internal IP Address of the web server and still no go. Authentication is set to TLS and Permission Groups is set to Anonymous. Funny thing is I have two other servers added to that same receive connector that send out external notifications and those are being sent and received just fine. The difference between the web server and other two servers is this is a Linux box running Drupal and the other two are Windows boxes. I did trace on a successfully delivered internal message and the message is being sent by the default Drupal/Apache user www-data@www.mydomain.com by postfix.

Any help would be most appreciated,

Exchange 2013 and Azure Post Configuration

Hello Everybody!

I have the current situation :

I have deployed an Exchange 2013 SP1 Mailbox and Client Access server within Azure with two domain controllers on the same private network. 

The Virtual Machines are in the same private network class 10.0.0.0/24 and also have Public IP Addresses.

On the two domain controllers I have installed DNS Roles and only created the A Names for the internal IP Addresses.

On the Exchange Server I have created the send connector and I am able to send emails internally and externally but only into spam for example to gmail.

I can't receive any email even tough I have selected in all the receive connectors "Anonymous users" .

I suspect I need to make changes in the DNS first of all, but don't know where to begin. Any suggestions to start receiving emails to the server would be much appreciated!

Update - I migrated these mailboxes from one forest to another using the Cross-Forest Mailbox Migration tool in Exchange 2013.  The messages began once the Cross-Forest Migration completed.  All the permissions migrated and worked correctly, it just looks like it is causing a problem somewhere else.

Unable to email a Distribution List from an External email address

Howdy,

We have two Distribution Lists that we need tobe able to send to from external email addresses.  I went into the ECP and edited the Delivery Management setting and changed it fromOnly senders inside my organization to Senders inside and outside of my organization but I still can't send to the DL.

Is there another setting somewhere that might be preventing these emails from coming through?

UPDATE: Just got a rejection bounce with the error below.  It says to change the setting that I already changed so not sure what else to check.

Your message couldn't be delivered because the group you're sending to needs to know who you are before it will accept your message.

To fix this problem, ask the email admin for the group to configure the group to accept messages from you.

For Email Administrators
This error occurs when the group is configured to reject email from senders outside of the group's organization. To fix the issue, the recipient's email admin must either add the sender's address to the group's list of allowed senders or they must select the group's delivery management option that allows senders both inside and outside of their organization to send email to it.

Exchange 2013 TransportRoles\Data\Temp filling up disk

I have a single multi-role Exchange 2013 server and it would appear that it's not properly maintaining the temp files for the transport service.  I still have all those folder locations at their default and the problem folder is c:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\TransportRoles\data\Temp

I never had a problem with this in Exchange 2007 but I am used to running a PowerShell script nightly to clean up the IIS log files.  Do I need to do something similar for this temp folder?  Is there a setting I can adjust so that Exchange will limit the size of this folder itself?  If I stop the transport service and delete the files here will I lose anything?

Any suggestions or insight would be greatly appreciated.


How to block or minimize the email spoofing from the internal or accepted domain?

Dear Exchange Server Expert,

We have in house mail server running Microsoft Exchange Server 2010. currently, some users are always receiving the email spoofing that come from internal domain or accepted domain in exchange. For instance, I am on test.com domain and I receive email spoofing that come from my colleague, amy@test.com domain too.

Currently we are using Symantec cloud as the anti spam server. most of the spam will be blocked but not the email spoofing that using the internal or accepted domains. I think because the content and the sender looks legitimate, that's why the Symantec cloud anti spam has bypass them.

is there any way that we can prevent or minimize this?

How to add BCC to my personal email when office 365 email sent outgoing emails

Dear,

I am using 2 rules for mail flow in office 365 account.

The first rule is if the message is sent to my office 365 account, BCC message to my other personal email.

I chose 'The recipient is...' in Apply this rule if... field and 'Bcc the message to...' in Do the following field.

This rule is currently working.

The second rule is if the message is sent from my office 365 account, BCC message to my other personal email.

I chose 'The sender is...' in Apply this rule if... field and 'Bcc the message to...' in Do the following field.

This rule is not working properly. Please give me any suggestions for outgoing email's rule.

Use Office 365's EOC as Smart Host

Hi,

 This is my situation, i've an Exchange 2013 Server On-Premises, and i'd like to create a Send Connector that would use Office 365's EOC as SmartHost.
I've read about how to do this, but i keep getting an error from the EMC that says:

Which roughly translated would be something like...

 The identifier's name "rblSmartHostAuthMechanismNone" won't match any valid enumerator's name. Specify any of the following enumerator names and try again: None, Verbose.

(I've posted this message on the Office 365 forum and they told me to try here...)  -i tried to add a link, but the site wouldn't let me-

Just in case it is not clear, i did all the necessary steps on the Office 365 EAC, and it went smoothly. That error message occurs when i try to create (or modify) a Send Connector in my on-premises server.

Can you think of any suggestions for me?

Measuring email delivery both internally and externally ?

I would like to be able to monitor the time in which it takes for emails to be delivered internally and externally.  Is this possible ?  We use SCOM it would seem that some MPs were created for Exchange 2010 does anyone have any further information on what is possible and how ?

I have Exchange 2013 SP1 all on single machine this issue is repeated 3 times in one week suddenly every thing stops the client getting different messages  one of them " 451 4.7.0 Temporary server error. Please try again later. PRX4 "

also the exchange toolbox not working and exchange queue viewer give the below screen :-

i checked all services all services in running stat however the transport service was in starting stat then i restart it but still all issues , Please advise.

Tenant Exchange 2013 - communication issues between tenants

I have a strange issue, when REPLYING to another tenant on our Exchange server from Apple Mail or Outlook for Mac the message will not send, the recipients email address is replaced with: 'First Name' 'Last Name' </o=ServerName/ou=Org unit /cn=Recipients/cn=79093033052d4430b4fe4a935c36a8dc-'First Name' 'Last Name' >

The issue is not present in OWA or Outlook for PC, I have tried creating new users and fresh profiles in OSX.

Additionally I have tried:

Removal of all Contact’s

Use of a fresh profile on a Macbook

Repair of Disk permissions on Mac

Disable ‘Contacts’ app on OSX

Has anyone seen this issue before?
