If I wanted to remove the right of an Exchange administrator to check the "Enable Forwarding" option on all mailboxes, is it possible to remove just that permission, but retain other administrative privileges?

We have Exchange 2013 Cu10 and Transport rule to inspect & forward for moderation password protected attachments - all is ok, but all attachments with 7z archives matches this rule - but attachments not password protected.
How to fix this ?

Update - I migrated these mailboxes from one forest to another using the Cross-Forest Mailbox Migration tool in Exchange 2013. The messages began once the Cross-Forest Migration completed. All the permissions migrated and worked correctly, it just looks like it is causing a problem somewhere else.Receiving Microsoft outlook on behalf of Emails that go directly to Deleted Items folder
I have a user that joined the company earlier this year. She sends out a lot of meeting planner requests. Ever since she started she has been receiving a ton of Emails that read "Microsoft Outlook on behalf of" XXXuser. The users are varied but they are all part of the same group that she has sent the meeting request to. They all come at the same time and they automatically get pushed into deleted items folder.
The only thing I have been able to find out is that the time she receives these message coincide with the time of day that my exchange server was rebooted. For instance I just installed CU10 and rebooted the server at about 5pm and that is when her messages are coming.
I have no idea what is causing this and not really sure where to look. She is the only person in my company who is experiencing this.. Can someone please shed some light on this..She has no rules set up and we have an onsite exchange Server not Office 365.

exchange 2013 smtp connector routing question
Environment:
Exchange 2013 CU10 combined role server. Currently ALL external messages are routed through a 3rd party service provider using a smarthost in the send connector.
Problem:
Need the ability to send SOME external messages though another service provider.
Ideally I want to end up with 2 send connectors where 1st send connector is always used, unless user specifies in the subject or body of the message a key word which would instruct exchange to route through the 2nd connector. Wondering if this is doable with a SetRoutingOverride method?

The SMTP availability of the Receive connector smtp inbound was low (38 percent) in the last 15 minutes.
We are using splunk to monitor exchange 2013. We keep getting these alerts "The SMTP availability of the Receive connector smtp inbound was low (38 percent) in the last 15 minutes."
I was wondering do these monitoring thresholds need to be modified within exchange? I don't want to turn the monitor off. I just need to tweak it so that it alerts when there is a real issue. And not a false positive.

Delay Emails - winsock error code 10060 exchange 2013

My name is Bharat. From Last 6 months i have been facing mails delay problem with my Exchange Server 2013.
Details of Problem - I can see emails are stucked in Queue Viewer & it shows retry and winsock error code 10060.
after 25-30 min at automatically shows ready in queue & mails get delivered as well as receives. I am not able to
understand why this is happening ? Please help me to solve this issue.

Exchange 2010 Mail Flow problem
Dear All as there is no Exchange 2010, so I select Exchange 2013.
Exchange 2010 SP3, No Antivirus
We have Two AD Sites & One DAG "TIGER"
In HeadOffice: 2 Mailboxes & 2 HUB/CAS (10 Databases)
In DR: 1 Mailbox+Hub/CAS (All Roles in Single)
Now in test scenario we move only One DB users from HeadOffice to DR, while others are at HeadOffice.
In this situation my users successfully connected from DR site, while testing email flow
Users from DR send me email and I received in my Inbox
When I from HeadOffice send email to DR users they didnt receive any email.
I found all mails in DR Server Queues "Site=Active Directory Site" Error" 451 4.4.0 dns query failed smtpsend.dns.nonexistentdomain"
Can someone please help me to troubleshoot/resolve this issue.

Exchange 2013 Email routing
I was working on getting some Exchange log information today and came across something that I thought was strange. First let me give you some background on our setup. We have 3 Mailbox servers and 3 CAS servers. All of which are in a DAG. Two of the mailbox servers and 2 of the CAS servers are located here in our data center. We have a mailbox and CAS server in another data center. The majority of the time all of our mailbox databases are mounted in our local data center. In AD Sites and Services The remote Exchange server has an IP address that is associated with a network that is under the remote data center site.
So looking through some of the logs I noticed that when users were sending email internally, the email would go out to the remote mailbox server and then route to the mailbox server that is located here. Again all of the mailbox databases are mounted on the servers here. I am not sure why this is happening or how to change it. But basically if a user whose mailbox is on database "A" on Server 1 sends an email to another user in the same database, the email goes to server 3 and then routes back to Server 1. Why is this happening? How do I fix it.

Error 451 Dns Query Failed
Hi,
It's been a while since I seek why it does not work, but still nothin, so I come to ask your help please.
Currently I can send email internally and externally.
But impossible to receive from the outside, I get that error on Edge :
exchange.internal.domain / SmartHostConnectorDelivery / Error 451 DNS Query Failed. SMTPSEND.DNS.NonExistentDomain; nonexistantdomain
Here are my configurations
- AD local only
- Exchange
ETH0: lan (dns to AD)
ETH1: wan (dns 8.8.8.8)
- Edge Transport
ETH0: lan (dns to AD)
ETH1: wan (dns 8.8.8.8)
HOSTS File + (+ exchange.local.domain exchange host)
Test-Sync status: Normal
EAC configurations
Server / Mailbox / DNS Lookup:
- WAN: external network adapter DNS 8.8.8.8 +

- Type Certificate UCC installed (if it can change something?)
Mail Flow:
- Sent EdgeSync Connector Default: MX + server use external DNS
On the local DNS server (AD), with or without forward to 8.8.8.8 does not change anything.

Can't receive email from certain domains with Exchange 2010

I have recently ran into a problem with my Exchange 2010 server. I can not receive emails from certain domains. There is only 2 domain names in particular (only one user from each domain has tried sending emails to our domain).

We have a customer with about 4000 Exchange 2013 Mailboxes onprem. He also posess an Office365 E1 Plan with Exchange Online Plan 1 included.
The customer whishes not to have an Exchange Hybrid Configuration, instead he will stay onprem but using Exchange Online Protection as an mailgateway with antimalware / antispam function.
Can we use Exchange Online Protection with this license, poiniting our mx Record to Exchange Online Protection, which send us the verified mail to our onprem Exchange 2013 Servers?
Can we also send the outgoing mail traffice to Exchange Online first for verification?
Do we have all the function of EOP with the Office365 E1 Plan?
Do we need first to establish dirsync for replication the user to Office365?

SMTP Address Sharing with 3 Forest
Hi All,
I am trying to share an SMTP address with 3 exchange organization. Is this possible with the use of Send Connectors ?
For Example :
Forest A is the main forest, Forest B and C will have to use the SMTP address of forest A, which will become their Primary address, and they will retain their SMTP address for Forest A and Forest B respectively.
When we setup the send connectors between Forest A and Forest B, the mail flow is working fine with users in Forest B receiving emails using Forest A smtp address.
When creating the send connector for Forest C, emails sent to this forest are being stuck in queue with Error "An local loop was detected".
Any ideas how to make this work ?
