Export data exceeds maximum

I have searched the forum for the error below but have not found an answer to fix this issue.

When I run the command below with a resultsize of 10000 it works fine, but when I run with 20000 it errors. I have about 16,500 records to export. Is there a better way to pipe the command together to be more efficient? I need to get the three fields from the MailContact information where the Contact company field equals 'Company - Individuals'.

Transport Rule not displaying HTML disclaimer to outside emails

Hello,

I have a transport rule that uses a disclaimer to add a signature to everyone's emails.  When emailing internally within the company the HTML looks good and appears as it should.  The problem is when emailing externally the HTML seems to not get applied.  I am wondering if anyone can help me figure out what is seemingly turning this supposed to be HTML into what seems to be plain text.  A quick note is that we are using variables like %%displayname%% and those are getting interpreted correctly on all emails sent internally and externally.  Thank you very much to anyone who is whiling to provide some knowledge on this.

Is it possible to track encrypted messages through message tracking logging or any other way to verify who and when received encrypted messages through journaling ( for example by the message class in transport rules ipm.note.secure ) or any other way

Exchange 2013 reject email for not existed user in a mailing list

I have an Exchange 2013 server. Faced with a strange issue of email delivery what I can not solve. Exchange is rejecting email
if one of the recipients is not exist in a domain Email will be rejected totally and sender will receive NDR for not existing user. 

scenario:
Exchange mailboxes user@domain.com  // valid user
user1@domain.com  //**user mailbox is not exist**
Sending email from external domain to my exchange server:
TO: user@domain.com,user1@domain.com
Reciving NDR Remote Server returned '550 5.1.1 RESOLVER.ADR.RecipNotFound;
valid user didn't receive email also.
email is rejected

I start to google and found that   How do I reject incoming email for unknown users in MS Exchange 2013?exchange has a user validation feature that is enabled by default I disable it on a console restart transport role. Set-RecipientFilterConfig -RecipientValidationEnabled $false

run the same scenario again user@domain.com, user1.domain.com I receive NDR for not existing user. but email was delivered to valid user.

Is it a normal behavior for exchange?

What is right by RFC deliver for valid users or reject email if one of the user is not exist?

how it will affect our server hit the public spam list?

Does this not reduce our spam filter resistance?

Please advice.

Mail flow in a 2013/2010 coexistence

Hi all,

We are in the middle of a 2010 to 2013 migration. I am trying to understand the mail flow before I decommission one of the 2010 server.

Background

root domain: test.com

child domain: a.test.com

Prior to migrating users from child domain to root domain, we are migrating users from exchange 2010 server in the child domain (exch01.a.test.com) to new exchange 2013 servers in root domain (exch01 and exch02.test.com). All mailboxes have been migrated to new servers. Hub01.test.com and edge servers are to stay until we migrate to Office 365.

All roles are shown in diagram below. So is exch01.a.test.com required for inbound mail from external? There is no mailbox on it and it is clear from any relay (e.g. printers and scanners). Mail flows are shown in diagram,

1) as outbound

2) as inbound.

Based on email header analysis, sometime inbound mails are going through exch01.a.test.com and other times are not. Is anyone able to explain?

Please help, basically we have the same issue as the following post, only the proposed answer is not the final answer and the issue persists:

Environment:
Windows Server 2012 DC edition
Exchange 2013 Std edition
Outlook 2013 (Office 2013 Std edition)
No Malware protection enabled within Exchange 2013
No Antivirus application on Windows Server

Issue:
Same problem experienced with two separate installations, random e-mails are stuck in the Exchange Submission Queue with Delivery Type Undefined and retry error "A storage transient failure has occurred during content conversion."

Workaround:
Running the following command will clear the queue but causes adverse effects:

Get-RemoteDomain|Set-RemoteDomain-TNEFEnabled $true


Would be great if Microsoft could help out here, we are sort of stretching relationships with our customers..

We have Exchange server 2013 CU12, on Windows Server 2012 R2, I have also installed RMS Connectors on two server in HA mode. All test from Exchange server to RMS connectors are passed but we still not able to see templates on outlook, Templates are showing on OWA but we are not able to send email using that template and getting error: The message cant be sent right now. Please try later. We dont have any on-prem ADRMS server.

Hi, 

One of the requirements wherein customer has list of applications installed and users have their accounts in Active Directory + mailboxes on Office 365.

If a user submit a report, claim or any sort of data into portal a encrypted email notification should generate and this communication should pass to all the  stakeholder....

Can we achieve this through a SMTP Relay server solution? If yes pls. explain and how to setup this when we have Office 365.

Export emails to PST Exchange 2016 CU2

Guys, I'm going through a curious problem.

Only in Exchange 2016 CU1 and CU2 this happens.

If we use the command that exports to PST an email from a user box, the Exchange is always exporting.

For example, an account with 4GB e-mail, export it to the PowerShell, it is with 10GB, 30GB, 50GB and will only increase and never ending, ever ...

Even the space of 1TB of hard drive over ...

I've done it in 4 different installations of Exchange 2016 and always has this symptom.

Has anyone ever experienced this ?

MAIL DELAYED THEN FAILING

Hi all,

having a nightmare with this.

My exchange is sending some email fine, but some will just not send. The ones that will not send first of all get delayed then fail with the following...

#550 4.4.7 QUEUE.Expired; message expired ##

I noticed there was a broken NIC team on the exchange which I have resolved now.

I also noticed there was a reverse lookup zone for an invalid subnet which I have resolved now.

I also noticed there was no SPF record as the send connector is sending using DNS.

I also noticed the top two forwarders in DNS were invalid, I removed these and added OpenDNS and googleDNS forwarders.

Yet mail is still failing to send.

Am I missing something? Is there another DNS record in addition to the MX and the SPF that I need?

Hi all,

I have deployed enterprise ca server on server 2012 r2 and I created certificate template for secure mail and published to domain.Client could access smime certificate and set their outlook clients themself.They can send email with the digital certificate that published local certificate and certificate looks validated in our domain.But local certificate looks not validated on outside domains(etc Hotmail,gmail) when client send mail with local certificate.İt is a normal behavior.Because this certificate not validated on public ca pki.I want to make validated secure mail certificate via our local certificate authority.There are houndred of users in the domain and we need to buy a lot of secure mail certificate for each user and this will be very difficult period.Can I build validated pki in my domain ? or can i set another root authority(digicert,verisign) for creating secure mail template ?

Exchange server 2007 in relayy mode and EHLO response

Issue Using javamail based client to send emails using SMTP wth Exchange server 2007 setup with Frontend receive connector using "Externally Secured" auth option

Observation: When telnetting to such an exchange server or using javamail to connect to it, the server responds with the following verbs to the EHLO message sent byy the client.

250-AUTH

250-PIPELINING

250-XECHG50

250-X-ANONYMOUSTLS

250-X-EXPS NTLM

....among other verbs

Note that , however, since the 250-AUTH verb doesn't have any arguments the javamail client isn't able to proceed with authentication as it fails to narrow down on a suitable mechanism.

This should not happen. In exchange server 2016 the server setup with same option of "Externally Secured" doesn't have AUTH verb in the EHLO response at all and so the client rightly is able to proceed.

Is this a known issue with exchange server earlier versions 2007? is there a patch available , this looks like a bug.

Not able to receive Mail from a Specific domain

Dear All,

I am using Exch 2013  with 2 MBX and 2 CAS servers. Normal mail flow is working fine , we can send and receive mails from almost all the domain Except xyz.com

We can send mail to xyz.com, but not able to receive their mails.

Mail flow is working with SMART host, I checked and found that even there mails are not hitting our Smart host, I checked that they are marked under safelist on spam filter. I checked our firewall to make sure that no ip has been blocked

But They are getting the below NDR after two days, 

Remote Server returned '<[151.xxx.xxx.xxx] #5.0.0 smtp; 5.4.7 - Delivery expired 

They are using iron port as antispam , do you thing something more i can check at my end

My point is even i cant see there mails on SMART HOST , so that i can troubleshoot.

Hello.

We have Exchange 2013 Organization. Recently we encountered a problem with mail flow. When user sends a message, it stuck in outbox folder in Outlook or in Drafts in OWA. Sender and Recipient is reside on different mailbox servers. In Tracking log i see that a lot of Receive events is generates

In details of events i can see that Client and Server the same server. And both use IPv6. Looks like a loop

This events accumulates until user deletes a message from Outbox or Drafts. Why is it can be?

Hi All,

I create internal relay for internal scanner to email device , but i found this relay IP will also doing send mail to external user for internal mail to external domain. 

192.168.1.10 (Internet connector)

192.168.1.11 (internal relay connector) 

Sometime it will use 192.168.1.10 to out or sometime it is use 192.168.1.11 to send mail to external.

sometime it willl send to 192.168.1.10 and pass to 192.168.1.11 to out.

Please advise is it normal behavior?
