Delivery Status Notification - SPFDKIM.FailureNotification

Hi,

Recently we getting the below "delivery status notification" email from one of the Bank email domain.

Could someone help on this to get resolve. Please provide the detail step.

Below is the error Notification Email, which we received from other email domain.

Currently our Exchange 2013 server runs on

-TLS 1.1

-OS : Win 2012 R2 Standard

-Exchange 2013 Enterprise             

-Version 15.0 ‎(Build 1365.1)‎

-Mailbox, Client Access  on same server.

Maximum attachment Size

Hello, 

I configured TransportConfig MaxReceiveSize 50MB MaxSendSize 50MB. SendConnector also 50MB, ReceiveConnector same. But when I open OWA I can only add 25MB attachment.

Where is could be the problem?

smtp relay for certain domains

companies like dnsexit  count relay by mails  .

Bounce back emails to external domains

Hello Good People,

My users receiving bounce back emails when they are sending email to few external domains.

We user smart hosts, How do i start troubleshooting the issue ?

Do i have to contact the smart host support team as my external emails are routed via them.

Temporarily block emails to a particular user

Hello,

I want to block emails to a particular user but the rest flow.  I can't change this users email address during that time.  I need their account active.   So if I want to block new emails going to mary@acme.com but want emails to continue to flow to joe@acme.com - how do I do this?

Emails get stuck in queue with the following error: 400 4.4.7 Message delayed

Hello,

We have 2 users in the company that are not receiving emails generated by accounts that are set up On-Premise.

When I looked in the Queue Viewer, there were about 100 emails in that queue all addressed to them with Message Delayed error. 

Everyone else in the company don't have any issues. 

I compared the recipient lines for the successfully delivered messages with theirs.

Successfully delivered had the following:

Recipients:  firstname.lastname@ourcompany.com;2;0;[{LRT=};{LED=};{FQDN=};{IP=}];0;;0

The error ones had the following:

Recipients:  firstname.lastname@ourcompany.COM;2;2;[{LRT=};{LED=};{FQDN=};{IP=}];0;CN=Out to Office365,CN=Connections,CN=Exchange Routing Group (somestuffhere1),CN=Routing Groups,CN=Exchange Administrative Group (somestuffhere2),CN=Administrative Groups,CN=Ourcompanyname,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=Ourcomapnyname,DC=Com;0

They also had different Source IP addresses and Queue ID.

Also, I'm new at this, any help would be appreciated.

403 4.7.0 encryption too weak 0 less than 128

When a customer from one company tries to email us, the email is not delivered and the customer eventually gets an NDR that shows the email failed with the following:

Status: 4.4.7
X-Supplementary-Info: < #4.4.7 SMTP; 403 4.7.0 encryption too weak 0 less than
 128>

The customer is saying that our mail server is the problem.  Our mail server is a Windows SBS 2011 server with Exchange 2010 w/SP3, rollup 22

What do I need to do to receive these emails?

Mail Flow for terminated employees redirected to a public folder - cannot get employee's out of office message to trigger

Hello,

I have a few employees who have been terminated.  I have their mailboxes set with a mail flow rule to redirect to a public folder, so that we can see messages that were sent to the employees so we can respond to them.

However, with this redirect rule in place for each mailbox, their Out of Office message isn't triggering - the message that would tell a sender that the employee is no longer with the company.  Ideally, senders would be notified that the employee is not there now.

Is there a way to set up a message to be sent to any senders trying to email a mailbox, while still having funtional mail flow redirection?

S/MIME and credential roaming

Hello Exchange Admins,

we have an internal request, to provide S/MIME signing and encryption capabilities to end users (approx. 3,000). So we are evaluating implementations and talking about the best way.

Circumstances
- using internal certificates from Windows PKI (AD)
- consider lifecycle (name changes, renewals, Root CA expiries, device changes)
- S/MIME should be used in Outlook (auto deployment) and on iOS device (may be imported manually)
- secure end-to-end encryption, with low user interaction

There seems to be multiple ways out there, to accommodate these Circumstances.
1. Auto Enrollment of certificates using GPO (is able to deploy public key information to AD/GAL automatically and private key information to user with internal PKI) with Credential Roaming (is capable to address the multiple device handling). Credential Roaming seems to be suboptimal.
2. Developing a custom solution, which creates certificates on behalf of user, deploys public information to AD/GAL, private information to user (based on manydependencies). This seems to be tricky, complex and weak.

What are your experiences?

How to apply retention policy

I'm trying to apply a retention policy to a shared mailbox. I'm using OWA, but when I try to set the policy for a folder, the only option is 'Use parent folder policy', while '1 year delete' is set globally. I'm trying to create a '1 week delete' policy, but when I add this tag to the policy that's applied to the mailbox, it doesn't show up when I reload OWA. The hint says it will be applied the next time MRM is processed, but how do I make that happen and how will I know when it does?

DKIM - support for, standalone on premise 2013

I need to deploy DKIM on a single stand-alone Exchange 2013 server we have on premises. is there a Microsoft tool for crating the DKIM key, a plug - in or a PowerShell script?

I have a Exchange server behind a ASA firewall and a smart host for secure messaging in between, for two .com domains.

can someone vouch for the plugin from emailarchitect.net? or offer another solution?

Filter / Let attachments be approved if they don't have an extension

Hi,

we have rules to filter specific extensions to be approved by admins, before they are delivered. 

That works as expected. 

But how do I filter files, that do not have any extensions (or deny them). 
Lately those appear to be delivered, but they are usually never good attachments, so I want to block them or have them approved. 

I didn't find any solution, as I can say *.zip, but this is just like

"fileabcde" instead of "fileabcde.zip". 

Probably you can help.

Mail ending up in drafts

Today I was trying to update my exchange 2013 to cu21.
Before updating Exchange I toke a snapshot in vmWare. The update failed and I reverted the snapshot and now people cannot connect Outlook to the Exchange server or send/receive mails from OWA.

If trying to send an email the email ends up in "Drafts" and when trying to send it again this error pops up "You do not have permission to perform this operation."

In Event Viewer I get alot of errors.

Event ID: 5016

Edge - Multiple AD sites

HI,

I have a DAG spanning thru 2 diferente AD site.

Site A and Site B

In each site we are planning to subscribe 2 Edge Servers (2 in each site). They will handle the inboud and outbound mail flow thru and from the Internet.

My questions is :

If we loose 2 edge servers from Site A what will happen to the emails sent to Internet from mailboxes located in Site A ?

Will they be redirected to the edge severs in Site B ?

Also emails form Internet to mailboxes in Site A what will happen. Can they be dilevered to Edges in Site B and redirected to mailboxes server in site A ?

Exchange 2013 Certificate

After Migrating to exchange 2013 from exchange 2010, the old expired certificate is bound to SMTP service, even after installing a new certificate which is assigned the IIS and SMTP service. 

We are not able to remove the SMTP assignment from the expired certificate, as it is greyed out in the ECP. Also, tried exchange PowerShell to change the assigned service to none but, still no luck. Can anyone provide a solution? Our new certificate is due for renewal in two weeks and we need all expired certificates removed.

Odd characters hidden in phishing email

Hello.  We've been getting some phishing emails that appear to be written with standard (English) characters.  ..At least that's the way it appears when viewed in Outlook.  However, when we copy and paste the text into Word and then turn on"Show/Hide" to see everything, it looks much different.  Here's an example..

In one phish there's a particular sentence that reads like this:

"You were not exception and now also have big problems"

When viewed in Word with show/hide enabled, it looks like this:

I had to use a screen capture of the "revealed" text because trying to copy it from Word into this post and the odd characters once again vanish as in the original Outlook message.

The question is, is there a way to setup a transport rule (or filter of some type) that can detect these hidden characters?  Ideally we'd then have the message sent to a quarantine folder for further analysis.

Exchange 2013 - multiple SMTP Addresses

Hi there,

We are are group of companies, and we have multiple accepted domains with different email address policies to have different SMTP addresses.

Some users, mostly accounts and HR team, have SMTP addresses (user@abc.com, user@def.com..). They can receive all these emails, but now it has reached a point where these users should be able to send OUT emails from any of these addresses to our clients.

For example, when communicating with customer 1, user should be able to send email from user@abc.com.
Similarly, when communicating with Customer 2, the user should be able to send email from user@def.com
