Exchange 2010 - Synchronization of some deletion failed (0-130) in Outlook 2010

Dear all,

I have a problem with my customer regarding error log "Synchronization of some deletion failed (0-130)" . This synchronization of some deletion failed log have been flooded my customer mailbox. Doing some research and found out that this is known problem from Microsoft and there is no solution yet. Appreciate if someone could share their experience or workaround on this problem.

no mail flow

i just upgrade to 2013 and the upgrade process went great.

but if i leave the server running for a while (over 12 hours) i cant receive external email.

when i reboot i can then receive external email for a while.

does anyone have any ideas?

Mail Stuck in Outbox

In my Outlook 2007 there is nothing in my Outbox.  But when i right click on my name/email address in my OL2007 > click data file properties > Folder Size tab on the bottom right here it shows 300mb worth of email is stuck in the outbox.  how do i delete this, tried creating a new outlook profile.

Exch 2013 Forwarding Mail from local account to External SMTP user

New 2013 implementation... Two Servers (Front End and Back End) both running Exchange 2013.

I am having trouble sending a local AD Exchange mailbox mail to external SMTP address.  I have tried several options.. I have created an "contact" as was required in previous versions.  I have created new AD accounts with external SMTP addresses, I have also attempted to use the scriptlet:

Set-Mailbox -Identity "%AD-USER%" -DeliverToMailboxAndForward $true -ForwardingSMTPAddressexternaluser@mail.com  (%AD-USER% was actual AD Username/mailbox) andexternaluser@mail.com was actual receipient SMTP address (username@gmail.com)

Local AD Mailbox receives the mail appropriately however I have enabled forwarding everyway I know how and nothing seems to work.  If I send mail straight from my account to the destination SMTP address, they get it; just not if it is sent to the local AD account then forwarded via -DeliverToMailboxAndForward command...

Please help.. I have several users that I need to have their mail CC'd to an external SMTP address.. Previous versions of Exchange required a "Contact" to be created and then the mailbox forwarded to that contact, which had a SMPT mail address...

Im not adverse to implementing via powershell if I can just get it to work... Any suggestions are greatly appreciated and needed.

block incoming external mail for set of users

We are a school district and need to prevent to our students from being able to receive email from outside our district.

IE, no internet mail.

I am already aware of the "users must be authenticated" trick but I know there is a better way to do it. We set it up for our Exchange 2010 server years ago but I can't remember how. Our students now do not have the "users must be authenticated" checkbox checked, and do not receive external email so I know it can be done another way.

If I remember right we might have done it in Exchange 2010 with the anti-malware somehow?

exchnage 2013 having two cas server .how to nat from outside?

I have two cas server and two mbx srv  with win 2012 os -exchange 2013 cul1.

I have configured round robin for high availability for cas . My question is how natting is possible for  two servers if i am using roudrobin . I don't have two public ip .

can we configure windows nlb and do nating on the array ip.How its going to work because we cant create cas array in exchange 2013..

For round robin -my A record i create is mail.abc.com and point the same name to both cas. Internaly its working.So if i am creating WNLB what name i need to create...how its going to work?

Securing outbound email from a single account

All,

We have a client that requires securing emails by allowing replies only from the account the email was sent to originally.

In other words, if an email was sent to user1@mydomain.com, replies to that email and all future correspondance to that email can be made from user1@mydomain only, and all attempts to communicate from other accounts in mydomain.com fail with ndr.

Currently, the client is on Exchange 2007, and will migrate to 2013 in the next few months.

Any ideas?

Exchange 2013 - Accept unroutable email adresses (noreply@device)

Hi,

we upgraded from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013.
Our old 2007 Frontend still acts as a SMTP Relay to forward emails from legacy devices (storages, printers etc) to our new Setup.

Everything works fine except emails that are having an unroutable Mail From: address (ie. user@machine), no FQDN.

They are forwarded fine to the new setup, but i believe EXC2013 does not accept emails like this.

Unfortunately this sender address is hardcoded and can not be changed easily at this point. Is there any solution to this?

Receive Connector doesn't respond except from server itself

I am in the process of migrating to Exchange 2013 (from 2010)

I have installed 2 2013 servers (1 cas and 1 mbx). I created a database and migrated some pilot users. The users have been able to work for about a week without issues. But since last weekend, they don't receive incoming mail from external domains. Internal incoming mail as well as all outgoing mail works fine.

I have pinpointed the issue to the following: The receive connector listenes to port 25 (I can telnet the port). But it only responds (220 <CASservername>.<domain>.local Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service ready at Mon, 3 Jun 2013 14:33:38 +0200)

It does not respond to a telnet session from any other location (e.g. the edge server or a server in the same subnet). The connection is established but no response is shown. As soon as the first character is typed, the connection is broken.

ExRCA showes "A connection was established but a banner was never received" so this points to the same issue.

To recap: telnet <ipaddress CAS> 25 does give response from CAS server itself, but not from any other location.

I allready tested with the FW off. AV is SCEP 2012.

How to troubleshoot this issue? The only thing that has changed over the weekend, is the installation of the latest security patches.

accept auto request meeting Exchange 2010

Hi all

I configured meeting to accept auto request meeting its working fine unless one thing when the requester send meeting request and his request is conflict with another meeting he receiving declined,

But require persons they are receiving normal request meeting and they can accept it also without receiving any conflict how we can solve this issue for require persons to receiving declined if its conflict with another meeting?

"Missing or bad StoreDriver MDB properties" but PolicyRouting is false

In my 2013 CU1 setup my users sometimes gets "Remote Server returned '532 5.3.2 STOREDRV.Deliver; Missing or bad StoreDriver MDB properties'" when sending to a shared mailbox.

I have "AddressBookPolicyRoutingEnabled : False" and the mailbox is not hidden.

Any tips on where to look?

Hi,

I have been trying to set up OOF with one account within our orginisation for a reply with internal and external users however so far I have only found that this works internally and not externally, I have tried using the powershell to allow automatic replies but it says that it is not changing the 'Default' and quite honestly I'm not too sure what this means? Either way all of my efforts seem to have been pointless. If somebody could point me in the right direction that would be great. The user I am trying to set up has their incoming messages forwarded to their personal account if that bears any relevance on the matter

URGENT FIX REQUIRED: A storage transient failure has occurred during content conversion.

Environment:
Windows Server 2012 DC edition
Exchange 2013 Std edition
Outlook 2013 (Office 2013 Std edition)
No Malware protection enabled within Exchange 2013
No Antivirus application on Windows Server

Issue:
Same problem experienced with two separate installations, random e-mails are stuck in the Exchange Submission Queue with Delivery Type Undefined and retry error "A storage transient failure has occurred during content conversion."

Workaround:
Running the following command will clear the queue but causes adverse effects:

Get-RemoteDomain|Set-RemoteDomain-TNEFEnabled $true


Would be great if Microsoft could help out here, we are sort of stretching relationships with our customers..

Public Folder mail flow between AD sites

We faced the following issue:

We have Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2010 servers in our organization. We still use public folders, some of them are mail-enabled and receive e-mails from outside the organization. Couple of years ago we had Public Folders in Exchange 2003 environment with replicas on 2 servers. When we installed the first Exchange 2010 Mailbox (EXCH1), we made Public Folder database (PublicStore1) on it. First we made replicas only for System Public Folders to PublicStore1. Then our users started to complain that mail-enabled public folders didn't receive any messages from the Internet. According to message tracking logs, messages weren't delivered because of

420 4.2.0 No local replica for public folder

We added replicas for Default Public Folders as well to PublicStore1. Then Mail-enabled Public Folders started to receive e-mails from the Internet.

Exchange 2003  servers with replicas, EXCH1 (with PublicStore1)  and Exchange 2010 Hub-Transport server which receives e-mails from the Internet are in Default-First-Site.

Now after several years we want do delete EXCH1 server. We installed Exchange 2010 Mailbox server (EXCH2), but in another AD-site (we have HT and CAS servers in this new AD-site as well), made PublicFolder2 on it, made replicas for System and Default Public Folders on PublicFolder2, changed Default Public Folder in properties for all Mailbox Databases to PublicFolder2, moved OAB generation to EXCH2. Everything worked fine. So we started to delete replicas from PublicFolder1 and... received

420 4.2.0 No local replica for public folder

for messages for mail-enabled Public Folders again!

The difference between EXCH1 and EXCH2 is that they are in different AD sites. So Hub-Transport from Default-First-Site couldn't put e-mails in Public Folder database in another AD-site?

Could you please help me to solve the issue? We really need to rid of EXCH1, but we can't because of mail-enabled Public Folders. And we can't change AD sites for any servers because of business purposes.

Outgoing Exchange emails stay in QUEUE

Hello,

When we send emails through exchange/outlook 2010, they never get delivered and they stay in the QUEUE for two days.

We have a Dell Server Intel Pentium 4, 2.80GHz CPU with:

4gig ram

Exchange version 6.5.7638.1
ISA 2004 version 4.0.2167.909
Three Users with Windows XP Pro, SP3 computers and one Windows 7 ultimate
Two NIC setup Internal:192.168.16.2, External:172.16.0.10
DYDNS Pro static IP with Host name: lakesideos.dyndns.org, Service Type: Host with IP address
SQL Server 2005

When I highlight the Default SMTP Virtual Server SmallBusiness SMTP connector - mail.domainname.com, the message in Additional queue information says "The remote server did not respond to a connection attempt."

We get the following Event warning in the Application events:

I cannot telnet mail.domainname.com 25, but It does connect with port 26. Our router has both ports open.

We can receive emails internally and externally, but cannot send.

If this means that the MX records are configured correctly, does it also mean that DNS is setup correctly?

Can Exchange Online Protection's Outbound Smart Host be limited to only relay certain mailboxes?

Wondering if Exchange Online Protection's Outbound Smart Host can only be limited to forward/relay certain mailboxes vs forwarding the entire domain.  Anyone have any experience with this?  Is there any other way to do this if it can't?

Moving from Hosted Exchange Service to On-Premises

Hi,

I am tasked with deploying Exchange 2010 SP1 on the premises in order to move our mail services on site. I've followed the instructions of deployment assistant, which enabled me to successfully deploy the server and its services.

My issue now though is that, because the on premises and the hosted service utilizes the same Login IDs, Outlook will constantly prompt my users for the local password, though their intention is to sign into the hosted service mailbox as we have not yet cut over.

I've tried setting the MX record priority on the local DNS server, however this only ensures that outbound mails are routed using the hosted service but does not prevent Outlook from trying to connect to the local mail server with the same UPN.

I need to be able to test the deployment with the our domain name (ex. john.doe@acme.com) without interfering with the production environment even if they use the same Login ID. 

I know I can set up an alternate domain suffix (actually I've already done this) and test everything, however my manager is pretty peculiar and likes to test things apples-2-apples.

Any advise you can provide would be fine.

Enable "Proxy through client access server" receive Error 530

I'm using Exchange 2013, I using Yahoo! mail and Gmail as smart host. If I enable the "Proxy through client access server" on my send connector, I will receive 530 authentication error.

smtp114.mail.ne1.yahoo.com Remote Server returned '530 authentication required

mx.google.com Remote Server returned '530-5.5.1 Authentication Required. Learn more at 530 5.5.1 

If I disable  "Proxy through client access server", the mail can be sent from mailbox role server. is there anythings wrong with my config?

P.S.% I use Basic authentication for smart host authentication.
